My name is Martha Weaver. I have been teaching Early Childhood for 15 years. This will be my 11th teaching kindergarten with APS. Prior to teaching at APS I worked as a Montessori Teacher specializing in 3-6 year olds. I graduated from Eastern New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in Child Psychology. I love how children think and am fascinated at how smart they are. After watching my own children grow up, I then decided to go back to school to become a teacher. I received my teaching license from New Mexico Highlands University and now I am working on my Masters Degree at The University of New Mexico.
Teaching kindergarten is my passion - I wouldn't want it any other way.
I am married with two children. My husband of 22 years also works in education. Neal is the Director of Technology and Digital Learning for Santa Fe Public Schools. We love to travel and spend time with our family. My daughter Maddison is a Junior at UNM and is studying to be a teacher. She is beautiful and smart and loves to volunteer in the classroom. I'm sure your child will speak of her often. My son is a Junior in High School and chasing his dream to play competitive Hockey out of the state. He is handsome and smart and loves to volunteer in the classroom as well. I love having my children in the classroom. They are great role models and they always love my kindergarteners.
