- Adaptive assessment that covers reading levels K - 5th grade
- ISIP Early Reading and ISIP Espanol provide growth information in the five critical domains of early reading:

- Fluency
- Vocabulary
- Comprehension
- 3 Benchmark Assessments, monthly progress monitoring for students scoring in ISIP Tiers 2 and 3 (below 40th percentile)
PARCC
PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers): Math and English Language arts/literacy - REQUIRED TESTING for Grades 3 – 5 by Federal and State Legislation
PARCC assessments are required for all students in grades 3 - 5. This is a summative assessment with items requiring multiple steps to measure critical thinking, reasoning and the ability to apply skills and knowledge in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones Interim Assessments - REQUIRED TESTING for Grades K – 5 by District
Stepping Stones is a math benchmark assessment and is required for all elementary school students in grades K - 5. These assessments will provide data on the core learning of three modules and the essential learning based on the Common Core State Standards.
- Paper-based testing
- Open-ended items
- Tests student knowledge after every three modules
- Based on the Stepping Stones Pacing Guide (created by Curriculum & Instruction)
- Available in Spanish
30 minutes per child once within these windows:
- October 12 – 23, 2015, December 14, 2015 – January 15, 2016 and March 1 – 24, 2016
4th-5th ELA Interim Assessment
4th – 5th English Language Arts (ELA) Interim Assessments – REQUIRED TESTING for 4th and 5th grade Regular Education Students by District
ELA Short Cycle Assessment is a required assessment for 4th and 5th grade Regular Education students. The two administrations will be parallel forms; testing the same standards.
- Prebuilt summative assessments based on Common Core State Standards
- Available on computer or paper
- ELA assessments will include a variety of evidence-based selected response items and technology-enhanced constructed response items
- Math will include a variety of innovative type items
60 minutes per child once within these windows:
- October 19 – 30, 2015 & January 25 – February 5, 2016
SLA
Spanish Language Arts (SLA) - REQUIRED TESTING by State Legislation
The SLA assessment is available for ELL students who qualify to take Reading in Spanish: PARCC - ELA is not available in Spanish.

SBA (Science)
SBA (Science) - REQUIRED TESTING by Federal and State Legislation
The SBA assessment is required for all 4th grade students.
- Tests the New Mexico science content standards

ACCESS
ACCESS - REQUIRED TESTING for ELL students by Federal Legislation
Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State (ACCESS) is a large-scale test on English development standards.
- Provides information on the English skills necessary to be successful in an English-only mainstream classroom without extra support
- Available on computer or paper
- 2.75 hours per child once within this window: January 11 – February 26, 2016
NMAPA/NCSC
NMAPA/NCSC - REQUIRED TESTING by Federal and State Legislation
The NMAPA and NCSC are alternative assessments required only for students with significant cognitive disabilities.

End of Course
End of Course (EoC) Exams - REQUIRED TESTING for Grades 4 & 5 by NMPED
The EOC exams are required for 4th grade students in a physical education course, and 5th grade students in music or art courses.

i-Ready
i-Ready Reading – Alternative testing for K - 5 Special Education Students by district
i-Ready is an ELA diagnostic test that is computer adaptive and is optional for K – 5 Special Education students. It will provide the performance level of each student by domain.
- A computer-based diagnostic assessment named i-Ready
- Results will be in AIMS
