TAES Activity Clubs Registration

**Due to the global pandemic of COVID 19, there will be NO before and/or after school activities, clubs or programs until further notice from the Department of Education,  Department of Health, and APS.**

Below is online registration for activities.

ABC Partnership - Community Schools Initiative

Dear Parents and Students,

Tierra Antigua Elementary is very pleased to inform you that we have once received a grant from the City of Albuquerque’s, Bernalillo County Community School Initiative (ABC – CSI).  These funds allow us to provide before and/or after-school activities to families. However, the funding has been cut this year so many of our activities from the previous years will not be available.

The City provides these programs so “children have opportunities to thrive in out-of-school-time environments that encourage them to learn, play and develop their talents in a properly supervised environment.”  As you may have seen in the news, Mayor Keller is playing a stronger role in granting and placing stricter guidelines on these funds.  There is now an even greater emphasis on tutoring and academics. 

Please see the attached calendar for a list of activities.  Activities will tentatively begin the week of August, 2020 and will end May, 2021. Registration must take place between Month/Date to Month/Date.  Activities will NOT meet during parent-conference weeks, Fall and Spring Break and/or Holidays .

Per ABC-CSI Grant policies, this year (2020-2021) schools must implement a LOTTERY SYSTEM to select students into activities that have limited space. All students must have completed Out of School Time Registration Form prior to participating in any activity. This is the requirement form for all Out of School Time activities for student safety.

A confirmation email will be sent to you by 1st of each month only if your child was selected through the lottery system. All students who register for Run Club will automatically entered into the club. Students may attend the activities once they have received confirmation and has received the completed Out of School Time Registration Form.
