Eureka Math

Eureka Math—also known as Engage NY—is a complete, Pre-K through 12 curriculum that carefully sequences the mathematical progressions into expertly crafted modules. Eureka provides educators with a comprehensive curriculum, in-depth professional development, books, and support materials.

Fundations

Fundations is a supplemental core program in grades K-2 which is a multi-sensory early literacy program that focuses on:

  • phonemic awareness
  • phonics/word study
  • high-frequency word study
  • reading fluency
  • vocabulary
  • comprehension strategies
  • handwriting
  • spelling

Benchmark Advance

Benchmark Education Company

Tierra Antigua Students have daily lessons using the Benchmark Advance Reading/Language Arts program. Benchmark Advance is a research-based, comprehensive Reading Language Arts program for grades K-6 that gives educators the resources they need to help all students succeed. These programs are built to address key shifts in curriculum and instruction to meet the demands of the new standards.

Rigorous, integrated reading, writing, speaking, and listening instruction meets the needs of districts implementing a reading collaborative, balanced approach, or workshop model, and enables all students to master rigorous learning goals with strong resources for differentiated instruction and responsive teaching based upon ongoing assessments. Benchmark Advance is the APS District-Wide literacy program.

STEAM

Tierra Antigua STEAM Team strives to inspire students to take interest in technology and engineering while learning vital skill sets necessary in the 21st Century. STEAM is the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. We provide students with an educational experience that fosters engagement, creativity, and enriches through unique hands-on activities and lessons. Concepts for our lab are derived from Next Gen Standards. By providing teachers STEAM resources and materials, we will enhance our students' academic careers.
